Small and very detailed
bopster Hatsune Miku micro puzzles
One hundred and fifty pieces the size of a fingernail, three portraits from the Wave 1 collection. They finish on a tray, not a table, and they end up on a shelf.
Micro pieces, full size patience
A micro puzzle swaps floor space for concentration. The finished portrait is small enough to stand on a bookshelf, but each piece carries about a quarter of the picture information a normal piece would, so the sorting is all about hair direction, ribbon edges and the exact shade of teal.
The three portraits in this range are drawn as collector plates rather than screen captures: kimono, cheerleader and singer, each with its own palette and its own hardest corner. We recommend a shallow tray and good side lighting, because overhead light flattens the print and hides the cut lines.
They travel well. A completed micro puzzle slides into a photo frame without trimming, and the box is thin enough to post. Every one of them has been a gift at least once in our office.
